Born in Omagh, Northern Ireland, and now Manchester-based, Gary Quinn has established himself as one of the leading lights of the UK country music scene. With a sound that blends the timeless storytelling of traditional country with the energy and freshness of the modern Nashville sound, Quinn has earned multiple accolades, a growing international fanbase, and recognition as one of the most authentic voices in contemporary country music.
Inspired by icons such as Garth Brooks, Chris Young, and Cody Johnson, Gary has built a reputation for heartfelt songwriting and powerful vocals. His catalogue includes a string of UK Country Chart No.1 singles, with his songs regularly featured on leading Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists. His work has been praised for its sincerity, its ability to connect emotionally with listeners, and its balance between tradition and innovation.
Quinn’s artistry has not gone unnoticed: he is a multiple British Country Music Association (BCMA) Award winner, including Male Vocalist of the Year and UK Songwriter of the Year. Beyond his own career, he is a passionate advocate for the UK country scene, having co-founded events such as Buckle & Boots Festival in Manchester, Country on the Clyde in Glasgow and Country on the Lagan in Belfast, both of which showcase emerging talent.
A sought-after live performer, Gary has played every major UK country festival, including C2C: Country to Country, The Long Road, Buckle & Boots, Black Deer Festival, and Millport Country Music Festival. In 2025, he completed tours of Germany and Holland, appeared at Nashville Nights Denmark, debuted in the Faroe Islands, and performed for the first time in Lithuania at the prestigious Visagino Country Festival. Quinn’s connection with Nashville runs deep. He has performed multiple times at the city’s legendary Bluebird Café, a hallowed stage for songwriters worldwide, and has written with a host of acclaimed US and UK writers. His collaborations have led to songs recorded by other artists as well as his own celebrated releases.
Over the years, Gary has shared stages with some of country’s biggest names. He has toured with Phil Vassar, Kristian Bush, William Michael Morgan, and Jeremy McComb, and has also had the honour of opening for Clint Black, Chris Young, Bill Anderson, and Sunny Sweeney. These experiences have not only broadened his reach but also cemented his standing as one of the UK’s most accomplished country performers.
In August 2025, Quinn released “Country Strait”, a neo-traditional duet with William Michael Morgan (of “I Met A Girl” fame). Co-written with Morgan, the song pays tribute to George Strait by weaving his song titles into a fresh country fan anthem. It follows earlier singles “Watch Me”, “Poison”, and “Heavy Boots” (co-written with Grammy-winner Brett James), all part of Quinn’s upcoming Nashville-recorded album, due late 2025.
