On Friday, March 29th, we welcomed the brilliant Jonny Morgan to The Country Café for a night that perfectly blended heartfelt songwriting, soulful musicianship, and the unmistakable warmth of live country music.

Jonny was joined on stage by two outstanding musicians, Joe Coombs on guitar and Eve Lesedi on saxophone. Throughout the night, Jonny introduced both in turn, giving the audience a glimpse into the collaborative spirit behind each song. Joe’s smooth and steady guitar style paired effortlessly with Eve’s emotive saxophone, creating an atmosphere that was both rich and beautifully balanced.

Jonny’s set was packed with mostly original songs, all delivered with his signature honest vocals and a presence that has quickly made him a firm favourite at The Country Café. The combination of Jonny’s storytelling, Eve’s dynamic sax solos, and Joe’s masterful guitar work gave us one of the most memorable and fulfilling nights we’ve had here in our little corner of Essex.

We’re already looking forward to the next time Jonny and his band return to The Country Café, a night of genuine talent, great company, and country music at its finest!
